I get the same amount as I would with my regular Medela setup. But aside from that, it's a great product and works well for me. You also have to find a bra with more stretch so they fit without squishing you, but my pumping bras and chilling out bras work well. The cups are big, so they aren't super discrete, but it beats having bottles hanging around and you can be more modest if you have company over, or while driving (I have yet to do this, but feel comfortable trying now). The ounce markers on the sides are clear so I also have to really look to see how much is in there. It's an opaque plastic and I have to use my phone flashlight to see how much I am producing when it's in my bra. So far the only things I think could be better would be if the plastic was more clear. I don't have compatible inserts for the Elvie's either, so that might help but overall its frustrating. The cup holds 8 ounces so I no longer have to switch out bottles on my high performer boob during my morning pumps, and I have never leaked! To compare, I have used the Elvie and maybe I just haven't gotten the hang of it or maybe I move too much, but I sometimes leak out of the flange. I use the silicone inserts because I have elastic nipple tissue, but they also make pumping more comfortable. I use the 21mm Maymom silicone inserts (the ones compatible with Medela) with the 24mm flanges that come with the cups, and they fit perfectly. The silicone flanges are comfortable and I never have that flinch moment when I turn my pump on and my nipples start to pull. As of now, I am writing this, sitting comfortably, and pumping with no issues. This is fine and they can be used this way if it is comfortable for you. However, as is, they will be too long and stick out from the flange. I spilled half of a Medela bottle while eating breakfast the other day because the connector knocked on the table and fell off. You can use LacTeck flanges INSIDE your Legendairy Milk Silicone Collection Cups to reduce your flange tunnel size They are used like any other insert inside the tunnel of the collection cup flange. I love that I can shove these in my bra and I don't have bottles hanging off me. The cups have more parts and they are all clear and one color so trying to put it together required a couple references to the user manual, but it's pretty intuitive after that. You don't need the extra tubing, the adapters just fit on the tips of the Medela tubing. For some reason I didn't expect it to be so easy so I was nuking it trying to figure it out the first time. I use them with my Medela Freestyle Flex and it is SO EASY to set up the adapters. I feel compelled to share that the Legendary Milk Collection Cups make me want to keep pumping.
